On April 29th, Climate Change Awareness and Action will be hosting the People’s Climate March- CNY. During this event we will have musical appearances from Dream Freedom Resistance, The Riverstone Trio, and our featured artist Colleen Kattau. Get to know Colleen Kattau:

Colleen Kattau is a bilingual vocalist, song-maker and dynamic performer whose Latin-influenced indy eclectic folk fusion music is “power and beauty steeping in a fine tea.” Colleen has toured with Holly Near, performed on Democracy Now and shared the stage with Pete Seeger Performing solo and with her gringa-Latin group Dos XX she won the 2013 Grassroots band contest, is a selected showcase artist at NERFA and is a commissioned songwriter. Colleen is an arts worker who believes in the transformative power of song and all the arts to create a more just and beautiful world. Colleen has five albums and has produced three benefit CDs for environmental and peace actions. Her latest music video is “Your place of freedom” which is an anthem for human rights of immigrants. Dos XX includes lead guitarist Jane Zell, bassist, Mike Brandt, and Connie Walters on percussion and backing vocals.
